I trained to be a drama teacher at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and have been in
education for over 20 years. I have enjoyed teaching in mainstream and SEN schools in both secondary and primary education in London and Hampshire. I love working with children and making learning fun.
As well as teaching I am also a wellbeing coach working with women and young people. I really enjoy helping people tap into their innate resilience, self-confidence and wellbeing.
For over two years I was an improvised comedy actor on London’s comedy circuit many years ago and did some character comedy stand up too with another actor whom I still write with for fun. I
once collaborated with two comedy actors for a TV idea and was optioned by a top comedy TV
producer. I am also a published playwright of a one woman play, Little Lil, which I have also
performed. In the 1990s I was Natalie Cassidy’s drama teacher at a London secondary school, and I
accidentally called her Sonya (her Eastenders’ character name). I have also enjoyed being a director
of an arts in education business focusing on taking drama into schools.
I live by the sea and love going for a swim. I challenged myself to some winter dips and actually enjoyed it! I do lots of yoga, breathwork, meditation and love nature. I enjoy taking my dog on long walks with my family. I’m at my happiest at the beach or surrounded by trees.
I believe passionately in helping children find confidence in their learning and above all in
themselves.
